Do you chart your watercolor paints? How do you know how they interact?
The reasons to chart your watercolor paints are:
1) How do they interact with other colors on the palette?
2) Are they transparent, semi-transparent or opaque?
3) Are they staining or non-staining?
4) Are they granulating?
5) Is their temperature warm or cool?
These questions can be answered when the pigments are mixed with just a little water and charted.
Here are a few fall colors that will make a beautiful, close harmony for your paintings.
Cobalt Blue
Cad. Red Deep
Alizerin Crimson
Aurelin
Lemon Yellow
Cad. Red Light
These are the colors that my students will use in this weeks workshop.
Chart them and see for yourself how beautiful they are.
