Tips, Tidbits and Tales of Life – The Artist Speaks
The review of the North Georgia Arts Tour is inspired by the beautiful tour this year.
Even tho Clayton is on the last leg of the tour for many people, we had a constant stream of shoppers right through Sunday afternoon.
The temperature was in the 90′s and dry, but on Sunday afternoon Blake Gardner sat outside the Turning Creek Artisans Gallery, Main Street,Clayton, GA and painted a beautiful eagle. He used acrylic paints and a fast easy style of painting.
Janice and Bob Grant, gallery owners, were working diligently helping each person. They are knowledgeable about each artist they represent and have some interesting stories to tell of their work with each artist.
The support organizers came by, taking pictures of the artists and chatting. This is the first time in the three years I’ve demonstrated in the Arts Tour that this has happened.
I had a very spacious place to display my finished paintings and to paint new ones. Many people asked questions and the children were allowed to paint a picture with watercolor.
My special thanks Janice and Bob for their hospitality, thoughtfulness and kindness. And, to the organizers for a wonder North Georgia Arts Tour 2009.
Honor your creative Spirit!
