Ellene Breedlove Davis

Gwinnett County, Georgia, native Ellene Breedlove Davis

spent her childhood living on the family farm. Landscapes from her growing years inspire the romantic scenes she paints today primarily in watercolors, oils and pastels occasionally.

Ellene’s paintings are natural, serene recollections of nature that reflect gentle surprises of the rural landscape.

Rolling hills, distant mountains, garden patches and historic places are frequent subjects.

Studies under gifted teachers and group workshops have encouraged her to develop her unique style. She joyfully shares her knowledge and talents with student artists in classes and workshops throughout the state.

Her strong compositions and descriptive style capture the romance and peace of rural life that is Americana. Her paintings are a way of honoring the beauty of the creations of the “Master Artist.”

Wow, Ellene… just went over to look at your artwork and I am feeling so peaceful right now. 😉

The ‘Snow Scene’ note cards especially drew my attention. I am a Wisconsin native, transplanted to Florida 10 years ago. As funny as it may sound, I miss the snow – oh, not driving in it, but seeing it and playing in it. That snow scene just warmed my heart.

And, having met you in person, I can see why these paintings are so genuine and real. I very much enjoyed your company and definitely will be shopping soon!
